Eleanor has extensive experience as a performer and recent engagements include Palacio del Portalet (Spain), Kings Place, London (UK), and Finding A Voice festival (Ireland), where she was Artist-in-Residence. In 2021, Eleanor became an International Guitar Foundation Young Artist and in 2020 was awarded a EuroStrings Scholarship to perform at Uppsala Internationella Gitarrfestival (Sweden).
A passionate advocate for women in music, Eleanor specialises in lesser-known repertoire by both historical and contemporary women composers. She gave the Irish and British première of Claudia Montero’s Latin Grammy award-winning guitar concerto Luces y Sombras in 2023 and 2019, respectively and has also premièred a number of new solo works by women: as an Illuminate Women’s Music Artist, upon commission by IGF’s La Leona scheme, and as a Faculty Artist at the Classical Minds International Guitar Festival.
In 2021, Eleanor graduated from the prestigious Máster Guitarra Alicante programme and is now currently completing her MMus in Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
nightscapes is a reflective programme for classical guitar centering on three twentieth-century works by British composers: Nocturnal after John Dowland (Benjamin Britten), Sonatina (Cyril Scott), and RED: Homage to Rodrigo (Errollyn Wallen). Surrounding these works are evocative preludes and lullabies from around the world, showcasing the guitar’s depth of expression through time and place, all inspired by the sublimity of the night.
