Les Boréades Baroque Quartet

Sunday 19th April, 7.00pm
Neston Parish Church. Tickets £13

The period-instrument group Les Boréades takes its name from the final great tragédie lyrique of Jean-Philippe Rameau “Abaris ouLes Boréades”. In classical mythology the Boréades were the sons of Boreas, God of the North Wind. The players, consisting of baroque flute, baroque violin, baroque cello and harpsichord are all from Wirral/Liverpool. After initially meeting informally to explore the chamber music of the 17th and 18th centuries they decided to form a group. They are excited to share some Baroque treasures with their local audience.
